A few weeks after Blake left this life, I dreamt that I had transported to his new location. He was there to meet me and, apparently, to show me around as host. He was the most calm I have ever seen him. He was smiling, glowing with health, as were all the other people whom we met, walking together in the opposite direction down the same hallway.
Blake directed me through a door to a room with a rectangular, shallow pool. (It came to me that we were conversing without speaking and that this seemed normal.) He communicated to me that I should stand in the pool of water in order to understand what I was there to learn. I felt very apprehensive, so Blake stepped into the pool, turned still smiling, and reached out his hand to me.
And then I awoke.
My first waking thought was that his action of going first where I needed to go and then reaching out a hand of assurance to me was a perfect metaphor for his method as clinician. He met and accepted people where they were when they arrived and assisted them in stepping through to their own consciousness.
Serendipitous or Ordained on December 20, 2020?
"We have now arrived at the longest, darkest night of the longest, darkest year. And yet rarely have the heavens so proclaimed their glory. The moon’s shadow slid across Argentina and Chile, the Geminid meteor shower graced the Northern Hemisphere with celestial brush strokes of fire. Now comes one of the grandest events of the sky: a planetary conjunction. On Monday night, Winter Solstice 2020, Jupiter and Saturn will almost kiss in the night sky, appearing as one bright planet. The last time they came this visibly close to each other was in the year 1226." ~ Dennis Overbye December 20, 2020
How like Blake's spirit to be there. Oh! And he was.
He wouldn't have missed it for the world!
